Here's another surprising fact; even though we associate Suriname as being in Latino land, it's official language is Dutch. Nuts!

My folks did volunteer work in Surinam ...my mom speaks some Dutch.. altho it didn't help too much! I think they were doing some building down there.... that was in the 1980s
